Applied Industrial Technologies is an extensive network of industrial distribution and shop facilities located throughout Canada. We currently have an immediate opening for a full timeย Shopย Technicianย in ourย Winnipeg, MBย location.

In this role, youโ€™ll leverage all that hands-on experience and expertise in your background and put it to good use helping us to support our customers and gain new ones while leading the charge in this area as your work helps to support the industryโ€™s best sales team.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Work in a safe manner, lead by example and contribute to overall company safety
  • Disassemble, clean, inspect and repair rotating equipment and related components with a focus on Fluid power equipment.
  • Complete failure analysis, documentation and quality measurements required to properly evaluate components required to complete repairs.
  • Work in a team environment to efficiently achieve a high standard of quality and service to Appliedโ€™s extensive customer base

Qualifications (experience & education):

  • Journeyman Certification or Red Seal Interprovincial Certification preferred
  • Apprentices with relevant shop experience may be considered
  • Energetic and focused personality with willingness to learn
  • Service orientated with exposure to quality assurance and quality control.
  • Follow procedures for inspection and repair
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply codes, standards, specifications, and drawings.
  • Proficient with measuring tools
  • Ability to prioritize and number of tasks and complete a variety of work assignments within structured deadlines.
  • Extremely high level of attention to detail and strong root cause analysis skill.
  • Ability to use both written and verbal skills to effectively communicate technical information.
